Frances slocum is great for camping, fishing, and swimming!It is a good place for a family vacation in the summer:)And they have great camping prices too!

Francis slocum state park is located just minutes away from the Dallas highway. In the summer, this is a popular destination for families and groups because of the swimming pool and picnic pavilions. There are several nature trails that offer some challenging terrain. The park attracts your usual assortment of dog walkers, fitness walkers, joggers and bicylists. There are open areas that are good for kite flying and impromptu soccer games.
In the winter, the lake offers a nice natural place for ice skating.
